the process

Invisalign clear aligners are suitable for treating slight overcrowding to more complex straightening issues. Once your orthodontist has confirmed that you are eligible for treatment it is a very straightforward process. Your orthodontist will create a 3D treatment plan using x-rays and scan of your teeth.

fitting

Invisalign clear aligners are custom made to fi t snugly over your teeth. They are made from a strong material to withstand any bending or cracking. The aligner is trimmed to fit your exact gum line too. They are easy to put in and take out too. They are virtually invisible when over your teeth and many find them more comfortable to wear than traditional braces.

wearing

Life continues as normal with Invisalign, so it is easy to wear them for the recommended 22 hours a day. Because the aligners are removable, you can easily take them in and out to continue enjoying the food you love without any restrictions. Your teeth can also be cleaned as normal.

You should clean your teeth before you put your aligner back in to prevent food from being trapped against your teeth for a prolonged period. For those who participate in contact sports, Invisalign clear aligners can be removed before you play too.

adjusting

You will change your Invisalign clear aligner every 1 to 2 weeks. They are so easy to put in that you will be able to do this at home and simply visit the practice every 6 to 8 weeks to check the progress and health of your teeth.

You will also collect the next set of aligners to wear. Each aligner is designed to gently push your teeth into their new position.

removing

On completion of your treatment, when you have worn each of the aligners provided by Invisalign, your teeth will be in their new position and you will have the smile you desire.

There is no removal process as such as the aligners are removable at any point. You will be required to wear a retainer for a few hours a day to retain your new smile
